Non-Competition Agreements

Employers sometimes require their employees to sign a non-competition and non-solicitation agreement either at the outset of employment or at some point during the employment. However, Louisiana law places strict limitations upon non-compete agreements, and agreements that do not comply with the requirements of Louisiana law may be unenforceable. When an employee is asked to sign a non-competition agreement or has signed one and is considering a new employment opportunity, it is important that the employee speak with an attorney regarding the agreement.

We advise employees regarding non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. If you have a question regarding a proposed non-compete or a non-compete that you have signed, contact our office at (504) 603-1500.

We’d love to hear from you.

Please call or send us an email and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
